Volunteer Opportunities

PAL Program

Tutor one or two children every week in one of the area elementary schools – or be a room mother.

Minor home repair

Join a team of volunteers who work in the neighborhood once a week fixing plumbing problems, creaky steps or other home needs.

Boys Mentoring

Match up with a boy who needs an extra caring adult in his life. The group meets twice a month for an outing and then you check on him in between sessions.

Gardening

Partner with an Ivanhoe resident to plant a vegetable garden in their yard – or help beautify a vacant lot with wildflowers.

Learn ‘N Grow

Share your area of expertise, whether it’s dancing or plumbing or balancing a budget (or something we haven’t thought of yet!) and lead a life skills class on Saturday morning.

Special projects

Help with one-time events like the Ice Cream Social, field trips, fundraising events or other fun outings.

Create your own team

Organize a house painting effort or rally friends to clean up a lot in the neighborhood.
